PoesiaMasini - Il Sito più Banale is an unofficial website dedicated to Marco Masini, conceived by Mauro Molinari and now maintained by Mauro Molinari with the help of some friends (see Collaborators section).
It was born on April, 14th 2000, mainly as a meeting point where people could discuss and comment about Marco's songs lyrics, but then became an authoritative point of reference for (recent or older) information retrieval on Marco Masini and his public activities. This could be achieved thanks to the help of many people who gave their (small or big) contribution for this site growth.
As of now, PoesiaMasini is divided into many areas, subdivided into sections theirselves. You can view the sections in an area (accompanied by a brief introductory description) by clicking on any area name in the navigation bar above.
Why this site?
This site was conceived mainly as a gift to Marco Masini, for the countless emotions he gave (and still gives) to millions of people (myself, Mauro, included) through his songs.
Secondly, my desire is to make new people open themselves towards Marco's music: yes, in Italy we say that the one who doesn't want to hear is worst than a deaf person, but it's also true that sometimes you only need an opportunity you've never had before, to discover a new passion.
I also want, with much humility, to give more attention to the work of an artist often too much undervalued in the outline of Italian music, an artist who stays in the middle between the Pop genre and author music.
But another very important function is that carried on by the forum, which allows many people (Masini lovers or not) to meet and compare their opinions on any kind of topics.
